    1. Avila Beach


    Avila is tucked away between San Luis Obispo and Pismo Beach along the 101 Highway.  They offer beautiful beach rentals and hotels that have ocean views or are walking distance to the beach.  You can rent paddle boards, surf boards, and other great water sport equipment for cruising the Pacific Ocean.  Avila Golf Course offers an 18 hole experience on beautiful rolling hills of greens with a club house and seasonal concerts.  They also have seasonal festivals like BeerFest and OysterFest with markets, live music, food and drinks.  Avila is home to many attractions such as the historical lighthouse where you can tour, Sycamore Mineral Springs hot tubs, Avila Hot Springs pool and tubs, Avila Barn open market and many hiking trails all along the coastline.  There are wineries and wine bars for tastings, excellent restaurants with fresh seafood and a farmer’s market for fresh produce and local fare.

    2. Montana De Oro State Park


    This campground and beautiful State Park has beautiful natural campsites, loads of hiking and mountain bike trails and several natural beaches.  The nature is blooming and scenic with plenty of places to explore including Ranger led trail tours and horseback riding.  Quiet and peaceful, there are several places to sit and watch the sunset over the ocean, great surf spots and natural tide pools for exploring.  The town of Los Osos is only minutes away if you want to grab supplies, shop locally or have dinner at one of the local hot spots.

    3.  Paso Robles Wine Country

    Paso Robles has one of the most popular and largest wine regions in the nation.  There are plenty of beautiful bed and breakfasts, rental houses and upscale hotels in proximity to all of the wineries you can visit! Over 300 and counting as they keep popping up!  Enjoy downtown Paso Robles local fresh cuisine, a variety of boutiques and lots of BBQ!  Winery dinners, festivals, farmer’s markets, winery events and live music saturate the area as well as winery tours, cave tours, private wine tastings, food pairings and picnic areas.  You can bike ride your way through certain areas of wine country or travel by wine tour bus or limo.  There are even helicopter tours of the wineries with food and scenic detours as an option, zipline tours of the vineyards and horseback riding!

    4. Pismo Beach


    Pismo has a great selection of hotels, beach houses and camping areas so you can pick which style of lodging you want!  They have horseback riding on the beach, ATV riding, surfing, wind surfing, paddle boarding, and many other fun activities you can choose from, including a day of sailing and fishing!  You can tour the downtown beach area of Pismo or Shell Beach and get some great local food, tour the many shops, get a tattoo or play some pool!  They also have breathtaking views of the ocean, many beach access areas, parks and seasonal festivals.

    5. Morro Bay


    Morro Bay is a peaceful and beautiful beach town not far from Cayucos, Cambria and San Simeon.  It is also not far from hwy 46 where wineries coat the countryside.  Morro Bay has many beach houses and scenic hotels, festivals, a downtown with great local food, fresh seafood cuisine and fun shops.  There is surfing, kayaking, whale watching, bars and wine tasting, paddle boarding, bay tours and a natural museum.  There is a beautiful golf course with ocean views, lots of beach access all along the coast and a peaceful warm community to get lost in.
