The trend in bridal hair this fall in Paso Robles goes from classic svelte to messy chic.   With all of the heat we went through this summer there are still many up-dos that are getting requested since the majority of weddings here are outdoors in the gorgeous Paso Robles wine country or on the coastline, however there is a trend starting up for long flowing hair in a new and casual wedding that revolves around Pinterest and Etsy!  Here are the top ten hair style trends of 2014 for the Central Coast here in California!

    1. Sleek Up-do

This look is still a classic and can be accessorized with hair pins, flowers and any kind of veil showing off that beautiful neck and jewelry…

    2. Messy Up-Do Bun

Pulling this back with a head band that is time classic of the popular “Gatsby” themes that are hitting wedding coordinators, the messy up-do bun is chic, casual and will not look horrible by the end of dancing all night or in hot weather…

    3. Side Pony Tail CHee CHee Style

This side pony tail is not your average 5th grader look, it is CHee CHee, or in other words, an upscale version that can be twisted and curled into marvelous artistry…

    4. Messy.

This style is more like Bohemian, or Beach Savvy, Sexy or just Messy.  You can do a half-up with half-down or a full down with big, bold beachy waves.  It looks great with the right theme and outdoor setting, add a few hair accessories or flowers and you have a super trendy look…

    5. Side Bride with Umph

This side braid is similar to the CHee CHee side pony tail but is a bit more towards Messy as well.  There is a lot of looseness that can happen within the braid to add accessories or flowers and this look is beautiful with themes such as “Woodsy”, “Garden”, “Beach” or “Country Chic” that are a casual elegance…

    6. Long and Flowing

If you have medium to long hair this style is pretty easy to just do yourself.  There is a loose wave or curl and a simple headpiece or flower crown that tops it off but mostly it is very natural and soft…

    7. Knot Bun with Headpiece

This look really showcases the headpiece that is either very 1920’s, 1940’s or a mix of the two!  There are usually feathers, jewels, beading and it covers most of your head or a good side of it, while the back sits loosely in a pretty knot bun…

    8. Bohemian Hair with Chain

This hair style is long and straight like hair similar in the 1970’s with a Bohemian Chic twist, adding shine and a sleek curve, but not forgetting the chain that can be any number of styles.  There are chains from the humble and simple to extravagance and sparkle, but the Bohemian ones mostly just have a few pretty embellishments…

    9. Head Scarf with Side Bun

The side bun on this style is big and full with lots of volume and the top of the hair is slicked back so that the scarf can style over the top.  The scarves come in veil material, bright colors, muted silks and other fabrics that relate to the theme, sometimes with jewels or in addition to flowers pinned in the bun…

    10.  Short and Classy

This hairstyle can be worn with pixie cuts, bob cuts and similar lengths where the finger waves are smooth and classy, framing the face and the neck.  With this style you can add hair chains, accessories, flowers, flower crowns or just simple pins to beautifully transform your look…
